THE STRUCTURAL MEMBERS COVERED (Subject to the Exclusions) ARE:
  1. Footings
  2. Slab (excluding Porch and Patio)
  3. Sub-Floor and Floor Beams
  4. Beams and Lintels
  5. Load-Bearing Columns
  6. Load-Bearing Walls
  7. Roof Beams and Girder Trusses
PERFORMANCE AND FAILURE CRITERIA
Subject to the Exclusions, the home is covered against:
Physical Damage to the Home due to failure by nominated structural elements to perform their Load-Bearing function to an extent that the home becomes unsafe, unsanitary or otherwise uninhabitable, or
The damage that is visually observable without assistance in indirect light from a distance of more than 5 metres or cracking of over 5mm wide and such failure is not caused by weather patterns outside the 50 year cycle prior to the contract date, all defects caused prior to, or at the time of construction.
EXAMPLES OF ITEMS NOT COVERED, WHICH IS NOT EXHAUSTIVE, ARE:
  1. Non-load bearing walls and columns, etc
  2. Flooring material, etc
  3. Roof tiles, metal roofing, fascias, gutters and associated framing
  4. Windows, doors and trim
  5. Plaster board and paint
  6. Cabinets, hardware and insulation
  7. Brick veneers and solid plaster
  8. Exterior and Interior linings
  9. Services, appliances, switches, tapware, etc
  10. Items specifically covered by the 7 Year, 17 and 7 Month warranties.
